hi all,
I currently live in Canada and will be visiting friends in Surrey, England in the Summer. I wanted to make more of this trip and plan to stay with them for a week and then start moving around - have been thinking of either going to Switzerland for a few days as we don't need visas there, or just staying closer and touring either Scotland, Ireland or Wales or a combination of them.
Ideally would like to see some of the main attractions, but also to get into the villages etc and feel how the people really live.
Any suggestions you could give would be appreciated.
Cheers
Lance.

Hi Lance, there is loads of beautiful places in Ireland.
The Dingle peninsular to me is gorgeous and Dingle itself has its resident dolphin in the bay which is a worth a boat trip out, as they guarantee your money back if "Fungi" does not make an appearance.
Here is a website to look at for starters http://www.independent.ie/travel/inside-ir...17.html?start=8
what are your interests - history, scenery or social life ??
