Hello all,

Just thought I'd share our news. My husband has accepted the job offer in Spain and we head off at the end of this month!!!!

Its so scarey to know that we have been planning for ages and now it seems like there is not enought time to sort everything out!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited - but so scared at the same time!!

Phew!

Good Luck!
Let us know how it goes!
Where are you going to be based. Do you or your husband speak spanish, or is that not a problem at all. When we moved to Ireland, we talked about the possibility of going to somewhere like Spain or Portugal but were worried that jobs and the language would be a problem.
Dont envy you the packing and organising = it is very stressful. Are you taking stuff in a container?

Hi Jen,

We're going to be based near Murcia. The company my DH is going to be working for is a German company with a section is Spain. Hubby is fluent in german and will have to learn spanish - he's v v good with languages. There seems to be quite a large english expat community - but I'm difinatley going to give Spanish a go - I think it will make a big difference on how you adapt. I have found an international school nearby and have heard good reports about Spanish education system.

Thank goodness we've been packed for about two months - fortuantly sold our house just before the current crisis - and have been camping out with family. Ja, we do have a cointainer but going to be cautious and make sure we are committed to this exercise before we send for it.

How are you enjoying Ireland?

Hi there, sorry for delay in replying , Love Ireland! Lovely place to raise kids, safe and secure, we live out in the country and it is beautiful.
Have been here 3 1/2 years now.
