Hi,

We are a family of four - Mom, Dad and two young girls. My husband is a South African born German (althoug his family lost their citizenship during the war) I am also SA born but have a Britsh Passport.

We are currently in the process of applying for our Australian visa (just a month or two to go) and I know this sounds odd - but we are not convinced that Australia is for us.

So its not a question of if we immigrate - its a case of where and when.

What we enjoy about Europe is firstly the culture and the fact that there is so much of it on your door step i.e. taking the girls to the Louvre in France one summer and then visiting Tuscany the next - I know it sounds blase but its doable at reasonable expence.

Another is the greeness - I know that sounds completely stupid - but I can't stand the highveld winters because of the "browness".

The problem is we get the impression that to find work in Germany is difficult - my husband is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA and is doing alot of Project Management work here.

Anyway - so thats our story so far.

Welcome Sambo! If I am not mistaken than Germany has also a type of "green Card". Have a look at this site, may have some info.

Sambo,

Welcome to the forum. I hope you will stay long after you guys moved.

If you are not sure, then it is probably a sign that you are moving in the wrong direction. Since you have a British Passport, I'd say, move closer to there and use your passport to get you where you want to be. The UK has an MBA program.

Go and look HERE. I think, investigate all your options and make a choice that you can be exited about.

Good luck. Let us know if we can help some more?
