I very happy to announce that ,after nearly 2 and half years of waiting and frustation, my citizenship has been approved. Only thing left is to go to court to pledge the oath and apply for my certificate.
Now to find €950!

Congratulations Paisley!
I was wondering if it was 2 and a half years from application to approval? How long were you in Ireland before you could apply for citizenship?

I applied in August 2006. Approx five years in Ireland before you can apply. Two and half years are very long. Most countries everything gets done in about 6 months. Than Ireland is not your average country. Still few hoops to jump through.
