Hi All
I know of someone that is heading for the UK (Midlands I think) in the next couple of months and has a few things he wants to take over with him. He has been quoted for 'container sharing' but the smallest is half of the container but he recons his stuff will only take up the back wall or quarter. If anyone has space left in their container that they may want to 'sub-let' please send me your contact details so that I can put him in touch with you.
Thanks for your help
Hi Ursula,
I can suggest that the person you know contacts British International Removals - BIR. I used them last year (my things were stored, and then I ordered them to be delivered to me a couple of months back). I also only had a few things - and they work out the cubic meterage, there is nothing like having to have a minimum 1/4 or 1/2 container etc - I think there minimum was 2 cubic metres or something. They gave me excellent service. They only serve the UK, and said to me at the time that they have about 20 loads a month coming over. This was important to me,as, if you container share, you often have to wait for it to fill before they send. This was therefore not the case - with more than 20 loads, it was easy to find a slot. When I was ready for my stuff, I paid the final bill, and it was dispatched and received in good order a couple of weeks later.
