My grandparents lived in a beautiful, sleepy, coastal town called Crikvenica. As a small boy, I remember the panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea from their house; the smell of rosemary bushes in the garden and the taste of cherries, picked straight from a tree at the bottom of the garden.
