I have had SO many queries the last few weeks that I decided to jog down a few notes that should help you with the process…

I hope the contents helps you…

Look at the following site:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingi.../tier1/general/

With special focus on http://www.ukba.home...ointscalculator

For IELTS look at:
http://www.britishco...exams-ielts.htm

The process of obtaining all the originals (jip they ONLY accept originals) takes the longest… Home land affairs…

You need the following:

• Original degrees
• Birth certificate
• Marriage certificate
• Wage slips (for 12 months, but not longer back than 15 months prior to app) if printed from system. Stamped by company and signed by official) and summarised on attached form
• Bank statements proofing the payments as stated on the wage slips
• Income tax forms if available
• Full driving licence
• IELTS

On the form… 66 pages… eina… Seems to be similar to the HSMP, only difference is that they ask a LOT of question in regards to dependents, where dependents where excluded from the old forms, and the price… from 400 pounds to 750 pounds, and the addition of the maintenance funds requirement

My honest recommendation is to start the process as soon as possible… We started in December 2007, and only submitted the forms by June 2008. The Hold-up… Homeland affairs (http://www.home-affa...es_citizens.asp all the forms and algid processing times :P ) and IELTS…

This is all that I can think off at this moment, but please ask if you have any questions…
Kind regards,
Anle

PS if ALL else fail and you have exceeded the Home affairs SLA… (Don’t waist your time prior to this…)… And you are in Gauteng…

Call Berendina Aucamp on 012 810 6447 fax 08660056017…

In short… she resolves the problem…
